Helping you to become the best version of yourself
Numerous factors can lead someone to seek therapeutic support. Whether wrestling with emotional distress, navigating the intricacies of daily life, confronting relationship challenges, processing grief, addressing addiction, or embarking on a journey of personal development, every individual's path is truly unique. My approach to each client rests upon a profound commitment to individuality, shaping therapy to suit their distinct needs. Within a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space, clients have the opportunity to delve into the depths of their thoughts and emotions. Whether one favours a solution-focused approach or an open-ended therapeutic journey, my unswerving motivation is to foster a deep understanding and heightened awareness of the origins and nature of their challenges. Ultimately, my aspiration is to empower each of my clients not only to identify their innate strengths and capabilities but also to harness them, enabling the realisation of the life they desire.
I practice as an integrative therapist, extending Counselling and Psychotherapy services, available both in London and through accessible online channels. My therapeutic approach is a nuanced fusion of various methodologies, drawing inspiration from the foundational theories of psychodynamics, existentialism, cognitive therapy, person-centred counselling, and relational paradigms. The value I place upon these foundational theories is unwavering, yet I remain perpetually mindful of the idiosyncrasies of each individual's situation. My deep interest lies in unraveling the intricate web of behavioural patterns that contribute to psychological distress, encompassing poignant themes such as depression and anxiety.
One of my notable specialisations and a passion of mine, lies in providing therapeutic support to individuals who have traversed the arduous terrain of complex trauma, encompassing Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). The profound complexities inherent to this form of trauma are well within my purview, and my unwavering dedication lies in offering supports to those who have traversed its often challenging path.
My qualifications are conferred by Inter-Psyche Training Centre in Kent and Medway NHS. As the founder of Your Path Matters Organisation, my mission remains unwavering in providing support to individuals, families, and students, particularly within academic institutions such as schools and colleges, as they navigate psychological and mental health challenges. Past roles include my position as a psychotherapist in a London NHS GP Practice and my work as a project lead and bereavement therapist at Each Counselling and Psychotherapy Charity, providing essential support to the BAME community during the trying times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, I practice within the confines of a private practice while concurrently serving as a lecturer, imparting knowledge on the intricate domains of counselling and psychotherapy at Kent and Medway NHS.
Before embarking on my journey as an integrative therapist, I held the role of a Senior Pastoral Director in Sixth Form colleges and boarding schools. In these capacities, I extended crucial support to students and their families grappling with emotional difficulties, while simultaneously equipping staff with a profound understanding of mental health awareness. My contributions extended to the position of trustee on the board of The Breck Foundation, where I actively contributed to the noble mission of raising awareness regarding the issue of online grooming and abuse within families and educational institutions.
