Helping you to become the best version of yourself
There may be a few or many reasons why you might be seeking therapeutic support. You may be struggling with emotional pain, challenges in everyday life, relationship problems, loss, addiction, abuse or looking for personal development. I treat each client individually and cater the therapy to suit your specific needs. I provide a confidential, non-judgmental, caring and supportive environment in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Whether you are looking for short-term or longer more open ended therapy, my motivation is to help you understand and have a greater sense of awareness as to the nature and origins of your problems. It is my hope that each client I work with can begin to see and use their inner strengths and abilities in order to live the life they want.
I'm an integrative therapist providing Counselling and Psychotherapy service in London. I draw on psychodynamic, existential, cognitive, person-centred and relational approaches to psychotherapy, but I believe that while the theories underpinning these approaches are useful, each person’s situation is unique. I aim to help my clients to develop a greater understanding of the unseen patterns of behaviour that can underlie psychological distress, such as depression and anxiety. In working with these patterns it is then possible to address the life experiences they might relate to, such as trauma, difficult family dynamics, abandonment and loss.
I am qualified from Inter-Psyche training centre, Kent and Medway NHS. I am the founder of Your Path Matters Organisation, supporting individuals, families and children, as well as students in schools and colleges with psychological and mental health difficulties. In addition to working in private practice, I work in a London NHS GP practice. Moreover, I work as a therapist with Each Counselling and Psychotherapy Charity, helping minority ethnicities impacted by Covid-19 with bereavement and loss. I also work at Finchley Therapy Practice.
Before training as an integrative therapist, I worked as a Pastoral Director in a Sixth Form college and a boarding school, helping students and families with emotional difficulties and training staff with mental health awareness. I also was a trustee at the board of The Break Foundation supporting families and schools with online grooming abuse awareness. I have a fully enhanced DBS check and I am a registered member of BACP adhering to the BACP code of ethics.
